Dr Sharron A. FitzGerald (Co-chair of ISWRN) is a social scientist whose principle teaching and research interests encompass gender and socio-legal theory, vulnerability, migration, sexual regulation, social justice and human trafficking. She has taught in a range of international environments in Canada, the UK and most recently at Ludwig-Maximilian Universität in Germany. She is a research fellow at INTERVICT, Tilburg University, the Netherlands. Her publications include Regulating the International Movement of Women: From Protection to Control and Realising Justice for Sex Workers: An Agenda for Change, with Kathryn McGarry. She co-ordinated and drafted a series of government consultation responses to trafficking and migration in the UK.
